When I started working for "Stanley Steemer" in 1981 in Pensacola Florida. Four and a half years later, I took a carpet cleaning position in Dearborn Michigan to be with my dying Mother. At that time I started to build my own Truck Mount carpet cleaning machine. This took me about 18 months and cost $13,000. I took this machine to Northwest Indiana in 1986 and took a welding job at a Thrall Car train factory on night shift and started a cleaning business in the mornings.
When the customer base for the cleaning business was sufficient, I quit Thrall Car and have been cleaning full time ever since. I have been cleaning for 32 years and have cleaned over 23 thousands homes. In order to be properly trained, I have attended 8 different schools on cleaning. However, I must say that I have learned more by just being in those 23,000 homes and looking to my Lord for ideas.
